Pharos Designer - System Requirements

Before downloading the Designer software please check that your system meets the following specification:

Windows

• Microsoft Windows 2000, XP or Vista (32bit only)
• Pentium class processor at 1GHz or above
• 256MB RAM, 100MB free hard-disk space
• 1024x768 minimum screen resolution
• OpenGL graphics acceleration
• Ethernet or USB connection
• Apple QuickTime 6.5 or later (see below) 

Macintosh

• Apple Macintosh OS-X 10.4.x or later (32bit only)
• Pentium class or PowerPC processor at 1GHz or above
• 256MB RAM, 100MB free hard-disk space
• 1024x768 minimum screen resolution
• OpenGL graphics acceleration
• Ethernet or USB connection
• Apple QuickTime 6.5 or later (see below) 

Pharos Designer - Current Release

The current Windows and Macintosh releases are available here for download and should be used for all new projects.

Pharos Designer - Beta Releases

The Designer v1.7 public beta is available here for download and should be used for evaluation and testing purposes only.

* The AVC firmware should be updated over USB with the AVC Firmware Updater tool that comes with the Windows installer only. Note that once upgraded to v1.7 the AVC can not be downgraded without first contacting support.

** Once the LPC X firmware has been upgraded to v1.7 you must set the correct time with Designer or the web interface in the normal way.

Apple QuickTime

Apple QuickTime (6.5 or later) must be installed to run Designer and QuickTime 7 is supplied on the Pharos Designer installation CD.   QuickTime is also available for download from Apple's website:
