The core of an Express installation

Available for 1, 2, 4 and 6 universes

With the reliability you expect from Pharos and our expertise in dynamic lighting in architecture and entertainment: an award-winning, easy to install, easy to use control solution.

DMX, DALI and a couple of convenient contact closures and relays on board, Express Control provides up to 3072 channels – ideal for architectural lighting that requires the benefits of dynamic movement and colour in a cost effective and practical package. DIN rail mounting, PoE and out-of-the-box test modes make for trouble-free installation.

Express makes light of it.

Pharos Express software

Free commissioning software guides you through creating your lighting design.

Quick to learn, easy to use. Helpers, walkthroughs, and suggestions navigate you through your project setup. Tooltips and prompts instruct and advise as you go, and colour coding simplifies managing all aspects of your programming.

Everything is in one window. The tools you need for any part of programming appear in the Browser, Properties and Tools panes. At the heart of it is the canvas, where Spaces are the key – your fixtures, the scenes that control them and the touch stations that may operate the scenes, all live together in their Space, and one active scene per space provides clear, simple, predictable playback.

Express makes light of it.

Easily control your lighting by activating scenes and adjusting intensity for each Space.

XPT 5 B Express Touch 5 Black (5” wall mount touchscreen interface)
XPT 5 W Express Touch 5 White (5” wall mount touchscreen interface)

Touch Interface

Touch 5 has a vivid colour 5” display with a high resolution of 800 x 480. The capacitive touchscreen makes navigating your project’s controls appealing and intuitive. It’s quick and easy to select your Space and activate presets, manually override intensity and even use a colour picker to personalise your lighting. Touch 5 puts control at your fingertips.

Straightforward installation

With a new, innovative wall-mounting system, the Universal Mounting Plate can be fitted to a wide range of regulation backboxes, including UK, US and EU. The Touch 5 fits to the mounting plate via a bayonet twist system which is not immediately obvious to an observer. This keeps it firmly fastened with a tool-free installation, and the MicroSD card remains out of reach whilst installed.

Power-over-Ethernet

As a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) device, the Touch 5 can be placed at any remote location and only needs a single Ethernet cable that provides both power and data. Pharos Switch provides a coordinating PoE switch from Pharos, which can support up to four Touch devices.

Controller

The Touch 5 requires a Pharos Express Control, and links to it using standard protocols over an Ethernet network.

Wherever they’re needed

Express Control can support up to 32 Express Touch devices. Pages are generated relating to the Space you assign to your Touch 5 – giving you control over just one room, or the whole project.

Express Software

The software will guide you through setting up and creating your lighting design, with helpers and clear, easy to follow processes. Add touch devices to spaces and choose a theme to suit the location, then let the software do the rest – generating the pages and controls you want – with preset buttons, colour pickers and intensity sliders.

Reliability

Made for permanent installation and designed for 24/7 operation and reliability. Hardware and firmware are self-sufficient, so no PC needs to be left on site.

Repeat

PDF Datasheet & Specs

Pharos Repeat is a convenient DMX512 splitter / repeater with four output ports compatible with the RDM standard to provide DMX distribution to luminaires. The incoming isolated DMX signal from your controller is regenerated four times on isolated, self-healing ports for distribution to your fixtures. DMX splitters are an essential requirement for most control systems, allowing multiple separate cable runs from a single DMX output and ensuring electrical isolation.

This DIN rail mount repeater with install-friendly connectors requires a power supply in the range of 9 to 48V DC. Compatible with Pharos Designer and Pharos Express systems.

PAC R Pharos Repeat (DMX Splitter with 1 in, 4 out, 24V DC)

Installer Friendly

Made for permanent installation, with installer-friendly 0.200” (5.08mm) plug-in rising clamp terminals requiring convenient 24V DC power; standard RJ45 sockets, and easy DIN rail and keyhole mounting options.

Isolation

Each input and output port is independently galvanically isolated, ensuring the control circuitry and each port of the Repeat is protected against a multitude of electrical line faults, including earth potential rise and ground loops.

Protection

Repeat is equipped with four self-healing DMX ports, giving your equipment added protection from unwanted energy, such as miswiring, short circuits, and surge events caused by lightning. Should a fault occur, it will be contained by the Repeat, preventing it from flowing into other components in the system; once the external fault is cleared, the ports “self-heal”, restoring DMX output automatically.

Four Port Outputs

Repeats a DMX signal to 4 outputs, each allowing for 32 DMX devices to be connected.

RDM

Supports the Remote Device Management protocol (ANSI E1.20) allowing devices connected to any of the four outputs to be discovered and to communicate back to controllers over the DMX link.

Reliability

Made for permanent installation and designed for 24/7 operation and reliability.
