Pharos Cloud continues to improve with each new version, and this latest update is no different with the release of some important new features for Control Panel and new firmware management tools.
Here’s a brief overview of what’s new in the latest version of Pharos Cloud.
Control Panel: Override Controls

Control Panel is a useful tool giving users limited control within a Site they need to manage. We’re excited to improve things further with new override control options to Control Panel pages, allowing those users to change colour, intensity and colour temperature of compatible fixtures.
When creating a new page, Control Panel editors can now select between four page types:

Editing an override control is a similar process to editing Control Panel buttons. Select the override control to open the configuration modal. Then, select one or more groups of fixtures across all Devices in a Site (or a Multi-site!) to override. There are plenty of customisation options available here to make sure the override controls look the part against your background image.
Once configured, users only need the same permissions required for Control Panel buttons to be run.
Control Panel: Navigation Changes
We’ve improved navigating between Control Panel pages by implementing a dedicated page navigation menu. Page names are presented to users as a scrollable list to navigate through.

Pages can still be navigated by using the next and back controls at the bottom of a Control Panel. Page numbers are maintained in URLs, so existing bookmarks will remain valid.
Control Panel: Page Restriction (Coming Soon)
Each Control Panel page now has the ability for Site Owners to restrict access to a page to specific users. Access is controlled by a restrict list. By default, all users with the correct permissions will be able to view all pages. New pages and pages that exist when this feature launches will have blank restrict lists. Duplicating a page also duplicates its restrict list.
Device Firmware Library
A new Firmware tab will be available for all Pharos controllers. This contains firmware files uploaded by Pharos, which users can choose to transfer to a device as they wish. All firmware versions from 2.8.0 onwards will be available for all controllers compatible with Cloud.

Uploading firmware via the files tab is still supported.
These new features are now live so customers and partners that subscribe to our Cloud service will see the changes the next time they log in – there’s no need to do anything.
