House of Fraser’s flagship Oxford Street store is located in a classic art-deco building in the centre of London’s retail quarter. The department store group recently unveiled a new, innovative lighting façade in collaboration with Pharos partner Architainment.
House of Fraser presented a brief to establish a consistent look for the building’s façade to both enhance the exterior of the store and to reinforce its brand identity. To meet the challenge, numerous Philips Color Kinetics ColorReaches were programmed by a Pharos LPC 1 controller to wash the six-story building in the appropriate pink branding.
Architainment and House of Fraser’s store development management also worked in partnership to create lighting solutions to enhance the internal product displays to improve the overall customer experience.
The lighting scheme has already received a positive response from both customers and staff, and the Oxford Street store looks set to take its place as a key landmark at the heart of the city’s premier shopping district.
