Features and enhancements introduced in the v2.1 release.
Hardware: Support for the updated LPC X hardware
TPC improvements:
- TPC controls can now be given an initial startup value, for example a slider could be preset to 100%.
- TPC Set Control Value trigger action can be set to fire corresponding TPC control change triggers.
- Bold & italic fonts added to the TPC, and word wrap in TPC control captions has been fixed.
Network enhancements:
- New Network page in controller’s built-in web interface, which shows the IP addresses of discovered controllers in the project.
- Network table in Designer indicates controllers that have an admin password set which the user has not entered during the current Designer session. Selecting a “locked” controller enables the Login button on the Network toolbar; the controller right-click menu also has a Login option.
- Easily add a discovered controller to a project.
- Several fixes and improvements for web interface user access management.
Fixture and Patch features:
- Easily associate a discovered KiNet power supply with an existing power supply in a project.
- Improved import/export:
- Quickly export all properties of an object.
- Export patch records for multiple universes at once.
- Import KiNet power supplies using their names, not their serial numbers.
- Cloud fixture library shows fixture download progress.
- Custom names can be set when creating a custom fixture from an existing fixture in the library within Designer, and custom fixtures can be created from existing custom fixtures. Custom fixtures can now be opened for editing from within Designer.
- Fixtures in the library can be marked as user favourites (and then the library can be filtered to show only the user’s favourite fixtures).
- New additive, subtractive & invert modes for rubber band selection in Layout.
- Select mode from the right-click menu in the Layout.
- Alt+click or Alt+drag to select elements is supported.
- For example, alt+drag on elements in compound fixtures in Additive mode to create a pattern, then alt+drag in Invert mode to select all the elements that were previously unselected.
