Features and enhancements introduced in the v2.12 release.
DMX Recordings: Capture your console and drop recorded eDMX data straight onto a timeline.
- Import recordings from DMX Record, a free standalone utility capable of capturing multiple universes of sACN or Art-Net data simultaneously.
- Dynamically combine recordings and Designer presets, providing ultimate flexibility for making adjustments to looks once they have been recorded.
- Use selective playback to reveal different components of the capture by placing the recording onto a group. Only the DMX data for fixtures in that group will be played back.
- Adjust recording playback speed using the Set Timeline Rate Action in Trigger.
Music Timelines: Use bars and beats to create stunning light shows set to music faster than ever before.
- Specify a time signature and tempo for each music timeline and see your timeline in bars, beats and subdivisions.
- Snap presets to musical divisions and set preset timing in terms of bars and beats.
- Choose to hear a metronome in simulation audio to confirm your programming is on the beat.
- Programme visually to peaks with significantly improved audio waveforms.
- Import and export timeline flags in terms of musical time for use with third-party digital audio workstations.
Quick Scripts: Write short scripts straight into a trigger without creating a new script.
- Save programming time and complexity by writing short scripts as Quick Script actions.
- Check a variable or query a statement using Quick Script conditions.
Playback Groups: Organise your project in a way that works for you.
- Create up to 100 groups for timelines and scenes with customisable names.
Adjustable Timeline Row Height: Give your programming more space to breathe.
- Hover over the timeline browser and use Ctrl+Scroll to adjust row height (Cmd+Scroll on macOS).
- Reveal increased waveform detail and Left/Right tracks on audio rows.
Loop Regions: Make detailed edits while looping a specific part of your timeline for simulation.
- Right-click the timeline header to set loop region start and end positions, or right-click selected presets.
- Use the enable looping button in the timeline toolbar to toggle looping.
- Simulation will loop within the selected region.
- Loop regions are not sent to the controller as part of upload and do not affect playback.
Select triggers by name in Enqueue Trigger Action: Pick the right trigger first time, every time.
- Select a trigger using its name rather than just its number.
- Renumber triggers without impacting your project’s functionality.
Designer Enhancements: We continue to make improvements throughout the software. Latest changes include:
- Import timeline flags into existing timelines.
- Timeline Flag triggers now return flag name as a variable.
- Assign colours for fixture groups to appear in the browser and throughout timeline rows.
