At one of the largest casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey, a recent upgrade to the lighting in the lobby has been completed through a partnership between Prizm Lighting and Pharos Architectural Controls.
The existing cove lighting had become outdated at Caesars Atlantic City, and an RGBW solution was chosen to breathe new life into the space. Prizm Lighting supplied the luminaires and selected Pharos to deliver the control element of the project.
A Pharos Expert Control, Expert Touch and Expert Switch have been used to create a simple, closed control system, fulfilling the brief for a straightforward, cost-effective solution that enabled colour-changing lighting and a variety of scheduled sequences in the casino lobby.
Expert Control is an easy to install and easy to use DIN-rail control solution with solid-state hardware for 24/7 operation and reliability. It features up to 1024 channels of eDMX and two local DMX ports, and has both DALI and I/O onboard.
Expert Touch is an elegant 5” wall station with a seamless glass front plate that provides a beautiful touchscreen interface for projects that require frequent user interaction. The automatically-generated touchscreen pages enable users to access the lighting controls and activate scenes.
Expert Switch, a one-in-four-out unmanaged Ethernet switch with four PoE-enabled output ports, completes the system providing power and data to Expert Control and Touch.
Synergy Electrical Sales, who brought Prizm Lighting onto the project, was also responsible for the programming of the Pharos Expert system. The result is a beautifully lit space that creates a fantastic first impression of the casino as soon as guests walk through its doors.
