Lighting controls specialist Pharos Architectural Controls has officially released the commissioning software for its new architectural control range, Pharos Expert.
The ethos of Pharos Expert is centred around a single, reliable, set and forget, DMX and DALI architectural lighting controller – Expert Control – which is quick and easy to install and simple to program. Expert software is built with this same philosophy at its core.
Designed from scratch, the app is a brand-new programming platform that will provide just the tools needed to create fabulous lighting for Expert Control, with the least experience required. Expert v1.0.0 is now available to download and explore.
The software is the expert, so the user doesn’t have to be. To make the experience as smooth and understandable as possible, all the tools are presented cleanly in one easy to navigate view. Walkthroughs and helpers assist with setting up the system, and suggestions help on the journey through key areas of programming.
Organising a project is achieved intuitively and simply with spaces on the canvas in the software. This solution manages the installation, fixtures and lighting looks by having all the elements of programming placed together in their space – the fixtures, the scenes that control them and the wall stations that operate the scenes. Everything is colour-coded for easy identification.
Taking the hassle out of determining what lighting should play and when, Expert software provides an innovative new method to manage how lighting events are activated, avoiding complex conditional logic or micromanaging every scenario. The output for each space is determined by time and scheduled calendar events, but also by tags which simply and easily identify when a scene should be played.
Expert Touch provides end-user selection of scenes, colour and intensity overrides through an automatically generated user interface, tailored for the project – Expert makes it a breeze to create professional, attractive touch interfaces in seconds with no effort. Any wider system requirements are solved with Interactions, which provide straightforward input and output mapping to integrate with other devices and systems.
