Based in our Cambridge office, Ammar joined Pharos in July 2026 as Lead Software Engineer. He brings over a decade of software engineering experience, working across multiple programming languages including C++, Python and C#, with particular expertise in C++, Qt/QML and cross-platform application development. His background spans embedded software, desktop applications, financial technology and consumer products. Outside of work, Ammar enjoys playing badminton, travelling and spending quality time with his family.

Amy joined Pharos in 2024 as Office Administrator and has since transitioned into the role of Digital Marketing Specialist. She holds a degree in design and brings a creative and analytical approach to the team. Amy plays a key role in strengthening Pharos’ digital presence by leading SEO efforts, managing social media platforms, and contributing insights and collaboration across marketing projects. In her spare time, Amy loves to read and enjoys working on creative projects such as designing textile prints and sewing handmade gifts.

In August 2026, Andy joined Pharos as Principal Security Engineer, based in our Cambridge office. With a lifelong fascination about how technology works, he has explored everything from electronics and software to open-source projects. Andy enjoys building, testing and improving systems, and is passionate about finding out how things work. In his spare time, he can usually be found cycling, running, experimenting with new technology, or reading and writing fiction.

Bas has had an interest in lighting since childhood. He worked at Philips (now Signify) in their early DMX days and travelled the world commissioning their 100+ universe projects. Bas has been working with Pharos controllers since 2008, and in 2015 started at Pharos. In his role as Business Development Director within the leadership team, Bas will focus on growth, with a primary objective of delivering success for Express.

Ben joined Pharos in May 2025 as a Lead Developer, and is based in the Cambridge office with the rest of the R&D team. He has a degree in Physics and an extensive  background in embedded software. For the last 13 years, Ben has worked in the inkjet printer and biotech industries. When he’s not in front of a computer, Ben likes running, sailing, snowboarding, and playing the piano.

Carl joined Pharos in September 2026 as Junior Product Manager and is based in Cambridge. After discovering a passion for technical theatre whilst studying a physics degree at Durham University, he went on to be the venue manager of a university theatre. Here he developed valuable knowledge of complex lighting design and a diverse range of lighting fixtures and products. Outside of work, Carl enjoys playing violin and performing karaoke.

Chad began his career in the theatre by earning a lighting design and production degree. He quickly turned toward lighting design and programming for themed environments, multi-media shows, and architectural projects. He discovered and utilized Pharos controllers beginning in 2012 while working on a series of permanently installed entertainment and fountain projects. Chad brings a diverse entertainment lighting background to Pharos and supports customers as Regional Sales Manager for the Americas.

Dan started at Pharos at the beginning of 2019, providing technical support for customers and the technical delivery of trade show stands. He has a background in theatre, film and television, and concert touring, specifically in control and network distribution.

Denise joined Pharos in October 2025 as Management Accountant. She is originally from a small town near Venice, Italy, where she studied art before moving to the UK in 2011. After starting her career in hospitality, she transitioned into an office role at Carallon that combined accounting and HR responsibilities. During the next 7 years she discovered her interest in accounting, inspiring her to pursue a career in finance. Outside of work, Denise loves staying active, catching up with friends over coffee, exploring new restaurants, and visiting family in Italy.

Dominic joined Pharos Architectural Controls in August 2022 to provide technical support to customers and partners. He has a background in electrical engineering and audio-visual installations, working on projects in various locations worldwide. In his spare time, he plays the bass guitar for 80’s melodic rock band Shaft of Steel and is an avid outdoorsman; when he’s not solving support cases, he can be found hiking and climbing in the mountains.

Harry is a familiar face at Pharos having been involved in their Technical Support department since 2017. Harry has been involved in various projects during his time at Pharos, from developing new processes to providing reliable technical support to our customers. Returning back to the fold in late 2024 after 2 years away, Harry embarks on a new adventure in the USA as he looks to use his exceptional problem solving skills to help expand our North American presence.

Jack has a background in music and festival lighting, along with a degree in Lighting Design. He has been involved with Pharos since October 2011, starting as a Support Specialist and, more recently, contributing to the development of the Express range and Pharos Cloud. Jack now sits on the Pharos leadership team as Product Director, where he spearheads the company’s development programme and leads the product management team in bringing new products and features to market for Pharos.

Jade joined Pharos in May 2025 as the second member of staff to be based in our Denver office, helping expand the coverage of the technical support team by supporting our customers in the Midwest and on the west coast of the US. Partly schooled in Italy, Jade holds a Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech and has a background in cinema production, bringing a diverse set of perspectives and skills to Pharos. In the winter season, Jade spends her free time snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains.

A New Zealand native with a diverse professional background, she brings a unique blend of creativity and hands-on experience to any project. Starting her career with a degree in architecture, she has built a solid foundation in design thinking and structural aesthetics. After fulfilling a stint working at a brewery, where she gained insight into production and teamwork, she recently transitioned to London and the lighting industry, eager to illuminate spaces with innovative design. Passionate about travel, she draws inspiration from diverse cultures and landscapes, always ready to incorporate fresh perspectives into her work.

Jason joined Pharos in May 2025 with responsibility for managing the Pharos R&D team in Cambridge. He brings with him a wealth of experience in DevOps automation, tooling and infrastructure, having previously spent 5 years at Adobe as a software build engineer, and 19 years at Citrix in a variety of roles including looking after build, lab and source control infrastructure, solution test orchestration, and as engineering manager of DevOps and data centre operations. Outside of work Jason likes to spend time with family, going on adventures, and cooking on his smoke pit BBQ with a beer in hand.

John joined Pharos in November 2023. He found his passion for lighting after studying technical theatre arts at RADA. He has worked in the theatre lighting industry for over 15 years as a lighting technician and programmer, most recently as a lighting supervisor at the Barbican Theatres in London. John is looking forward to working with such a great team and supporting Pharos customers.

John joined the Pharos Sales team in May 2025. He brings with him over a decade of experience in architectural lighting control, having led European and Middle East sales at ENTTEC and Advatek Lighting, where he drove commercial growth and developed key customer relationships. John has an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management and also holds a Master’s degree in Politics and Contemporary History. Outside of work, John is a keen traveller with a love of exploring new cultures and cuisines, having visited much of Europe, Asia, and America. He also enjoys staying active through F45 training and running, regularly taking part in half marathons.

Justyna joined Pharos in May 2022 as Sales Coordinator, leveraging her degree in Marketing to enhance customer interactions. With a keen eye for detail, she handles orders, lead times, and customer inquiries with precision and efficiency. Justyna’s dedication to ensuring smooth transactions and excellent service contributes to Pharos’ reputation for customer satisfaction.

Katrina’s love of musical theatre led her to study Lighting Design at college. She spent some time in NYC designing and working in small downtown theatres, moved to the DC area to work as the Assistant Master Electrician and console programmer for a regional theatre company, did a brief stint at University of Maryland’s Performing Arts Center and then moved to Barbizon Capitol as Field Service Technician and ETC Authorized Service Provider, installing systems of all sizes, providing technical support, and training end-users.

Liz has over 30 years’ experience in lighting, initially with regional and university producing theatres, then touring with Rambert Dance Company. She joined Pharos as Product Manager in 2005 after previously being in product management for entertainment controls at ETC. Now Liz’s focus is backstage, rather than customer-facing, supporting the Product team to deliver enhancements and new products across the Pharos portfolio.

Marc joined Pharos in November 2023. He has worked as a multi-disciplinary in-house designer within the higher education, architectural lighting and fashion sectors, among many others during his time at design agencies and as a freelancer. When not working on corporate briefs, you can find him trying his hand at sign-painting, sketching and photography.

Marco has a marketing degree and over 25 years experience in the technology sector. His career has been mostly in Distribution, where he’s had the unique opportunity of working with many of the world’s best known consumer electronics brands. Marco joined Pharos in November 2021 as Marketing Manager with the specific aim of building the Pharos brand whilst helping the company achieve its growth targets. Away from Pharos he runs several times a week, plays Pádel, and is a keen road cyclist (with the odd mountain bike adventure thrown into the mix).

Marcus started his career working in UK regional theatre electrics departments and touring as a production electrician. He then changed direction slightly with a move into the manufacturing world by joining ETC. Here he worked on resolving site specific power and control distribution issues around the globe, as well as getting involved in product integration. Marcus then progressed to an electronic and software engineering role for ETC’s subsidiary company RAYN Growing Systems, before joining Pharos as our Embedded Systems Engineer.

Mark joined Pharos in 2012 after many years of sales and distribution management experience working for well-known entertainment technology brands. Mark has spent his time at Pharos building a broad and robust network of Pharos partners, helping to provide sales and technical support for the Pharos product range, across a wide range of iconic and world class architectural projects.

As Senior Product Manager, Michael guides the development of Pharos products and software features from specification to launch, working closely with teams throughout the company to progress the product roadmap. He joined Pharos in 2023 from a background in Venue Management. Michael holds a degree in Computer Science from Durham University where he was heavily involved in technical theatre as a student.

MG came to Pharos in 2018, first as a Technical Support Specialist, then a Technical Sales Manager and now Regional Sales Manager for the Americas. He supports our manufacturer partners with sales and complex project integrations. Recently, MG was appointed to the Employee Council, representing the remote team.

Nathan joined Pharos in 2012. He has a background in moving head and LED lighting, project management (lighting supply, install and programming), maintenance and technical support. As Product Support Manager for Asia Pacific, he provides customers in the region with sales and technical support for all Pharos products.

Though new to the lighting control industry, Olli has a strong background in events management. He joined Pharos in May 2025 with responsibility for office administration and organising all our events and tradeshows. With a keen interest in learning more about the company’s products and their applications, Olli is dedicated to contributing to Pharos’ success by providing reliable and efficient administrative support. Outside of work Olli is a keen player of Disc Golf.

Phil joined Pharos in 2024 with a wealth of knowledge, having spent the last 14 years designing, specifying, and commissioning Pharos systems all around the world. Originally trained as an electrical installation engineer, Phil worked primarily in the construction and refits of theatres, TV studios, and other entertainment venues, including cruise ships and overseas projects. He has also worked as a technician and technical manager for entertainment venues. Before joining Pharos, he worked on a freelance basis for TV productions such as BBC Glastonbury coverage, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, and Gladiators, to name just a few.

Renu joined our London office in July 2026 as Financial Controller, bringing extensive experience in finance leadership and operations. She oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and day-to-day finance operations, while supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Prior to joining Pharos, she served as Director of Finance at Carallon Limited, where she was the lead finance person supporting Pharos. Her previous experience also includes roles as an internal auditor at British Airways and Head of Finance for the UK Airports and Warehouse divisions at Vanderlande Industries.

Rhett joined Pharos in June 2025 as the third member of our Denver office to help expand support and training for customers in the Americas. He brings diverse experiences as a web and IT consultant, audiovisual and stage technician, and most recently as a high school Computer Science teacher. Rhett holds a degree in Music Composition with certification in Music Technology. He is currently a graduate student in Information Technology at Western Governors University. When he’s not working, Rhett enjoys building Lego sets, coding and playing the cello and bass guitar.

Ryan has been with Pharos since 2015. Initially joining in a technical role, he has actively contributed to some of Pharos’ most significant projects, including involvement in various citywide projects in China and playing a key role in London’s New Year’s Eve show. His expertise extends to the application, installation, and integration of Pharos’ diverse product systems. He now looks after the UK, Ireland and Northern European territories.

Sarah joined Pharos in October 2025 as our Senior Developer, and is based in our Cambridge office. She has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, along with extensive experience in DevOps and software delivery from her work at Citrix and Thomson Reuters. In her down time, she enjoys crafts, weightlifting, reading Greek mythology retellings, and caring for her growing collection of indoor plants. 

Savvas joined Pharos in October 2025 as our Senior Developer, and is based in our Cambridge office. He has a background in physics, where he specialised in physical simulations, and brings valuable experience from his time as a DevOps Software Engineer at Citrix. Outside of work, Savvas enjoys playing video games, gardening, and spending quality time with his wife Elsie.

Simon came into the lighting industry through theatre lighting design, moving into software development for lighting control systems. Over the course of his career he has worked across the full product development lifecycle, supported various landmark lighting installations worldwide, and has served on the boards of companies working in the lighting, AV and cloud software industries. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering and Information Sciences from Cambridge University.

Tasha is new to the lighting industry, officially joining Pharos in June 2023 after a brief stint working for the Carallon group as their Marketing Coordinator. Like many in the company, she has a background in theatre, with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in New Zealand. At Pharos however, she is more likely to use her Marketing degree from the US while managing our social media accounts, assisting with digital marketing efforts, and helping to organise tradeshows and events.

Teo joined Pharos in June 2025 as a Regional Sales Manager for Southern and Eastern Europe. She has a Masters degree in Nuclear Power Engineering and spent 20 years designing complex systems in the UK and Romania. More recently she has spent 8 of those years supporting designers, integrators and developers in the lighting and controls space, at companies like Lutron Europe, ENTTEC, and Architectural FX. Teo is a big fan of sustainability. When she’s not working, Teo is out hiking, snowboarding, or exploring — 75 countries so far, and still going!

Tim began working at Pharos in 2007 in the role of Technical Support Specialist. Subsequently he moved into technical sales and after a short time became the Sales Manager for the UK, and then Global Support Manager. Most recently promoted to Director of Operations, Tim focuses on a number of areas including customer service, after-sales support, order fulfilment and procurement processes. In his spare time Tim is often found designing lighting for productions across West London.

Tom joined Pharos in 2022 after over ten years working as a Technical Product Manager at Electronic Theatre Controls. After discovering a passion for technical event work at university, Tom worked for a variety of Lighting, Audio and Pyrotechnic companies in a variety of capacities, before moving into the world of development and product management. He specialises in networking for lighting controls, and is the author of several open-source diagnostic tools for lighting systems.

Tony joined Pharos in 2013 to establish Pharos operations in the Asia Pacific region. With a background in theatrical, entertainment and architectural lighting he had many years’ experience with Pharos prior to joining the team. Tony has worked on numerous landmark projects during over 20 years living in Asia, so understands the challenges of architectural lighting projects. He works closely with our partners, lighting designers and end users in the region.

Will is one of the Pharos co-founders, and has been involved in the development of all Pharos products. He started in theatrical lighting design, moving into development of control systems. Over the course of his career he has designed and developed a number of iconic products for lighting, stage machinery and video. He still finds time to write software whilst managing an expanding R&D team.
