Philips Lighting has unveiled its Luminous patterns showroom in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Luminous patterns fuses decorative patterns of dynamic LED light into customisable architectural wall and ceiling panel systems, enabling designers to create innovative new experiences for retail, hospitality, office and healthcare interiors.
The showroom is 200 sq./m, with 12 large Luminous patterns wall and ceiling installations that show possibilities for a reception area, bar, hotel room, and several retail scenarios. Completing the space is a design studio with Philips Lighting’s unique new “virtual wall”: a 4K, 3m wide screen that lets customers pick their Luminous patterns designs at full 1:1 scale.
All points of light in the installation are digitally controlled by three LPC 2, able to create a range of animated effects to fit any interior. The LPC 2s integrate with a Philips Dynalite system that controls the functional lighting. Customers have freedom to choose distinctive colours, textures and light effects to complete their commercial interior design projects.
The Luminous patterns showroom inspires guests with a collection of dazzling light effects displayed at the scale of complete architectural surfaces. The showroom helps designers and owners imagine applying Luminous patterns in applications such as hospitality, retail and office spaces. We wanted to create a space that was distinctive, a space that artfully uses darkness, sparkle, brilliance and motion to create new spatial experiences.
