Completing the feature set for support of our forthcoming controller.
New Designer features exclusive to the VLC+ include:
A new group concept exclusively for managing the huge number of fixtures associated with VLC and VLC+ layouts. These groups can be used for patching and layout purposes but are not available for programming.
A number of improvements to layout and mapping for the VLC. These include:
More presets have been made available to the VLC:
Stored audio files (and video files containing audio) can be placed on a timeline for fully synchronised audio playback utilising all our standard show control functionality, supported via Stereo line out and SPDIF on the LPC X (R2 only), VLC and VLC+ hardware.
Synchronising programming to external audio is now more powerful, using the same functionality as the new Timeline Audio Output, regardless of controller type.
For RGBA, RGBW and other multi-emitter fixtures with more colours than just RGB, this feature allows control of discrete channels, rather than using RGB algorithms. Users can tune desired static colours with sliders in the Scene tab by selecting between the colour picker and Direct Control. These scenes can then be dropped onto a timeline or triggered directly.
The latest DALI implementations include the support for the next Type 8 fixture – DALI RGBWAF, support for composite DALI fixtures and a new Generic DALI folder in the Designer and online libraries. We have also added Direct Colour control for DALI RGB and DALI RGBWAF via Scenes
We continue to make improvements throughout the software, with some of the highlights in v2.6 including:
*Please note: these features are offered as a technical preview for experimentation only, and are therefore not actively supported. Documentation and full support will become available at a later date.
