Each Express Touch theme features a variety of different skins, each with its own background and interface colours. Whether your touch interface needs to be sleek and stylish, or dark and dramatic, there’s something to suit every project.
Sometimes, one skin simply isn’t enough. A darker appearance may be preferable at night, and a colourful skin might work best in the summer.
Thanks to tags in Pharos Express, automatic changes to the visual appearance of your Express Touch interface are just a few clicks away.

First things first
Before linking tags to skins, your project must first contain at least one Express Touch and one tag set. For our example, we’ve added an Express Touch and a Day or Night tag set.
Click the buttons below for help with adding tag sets and Express Touch to your project.

How to link tags to skins in Pharos Express
- Locate your Express Touch in the Network tab of the Tools Menu
- Right-click Express Touch and select ‘Edit interface…’
- Select ‘Skin’ from the navigation on the left of the Configure Touch Station helper
- Click ‘Link skins to tags’ (you must have at least one tag set in your project to reveal this option)
- Select the Tag Set you wish to use for skins on this Express Control
- Choose a default skin
- For each tag in the selected tag set, specify a corresponding skin
- Click Next to navigate to the end of the Helper and click ‘Finish’ to apply your changes
Once your project file has been uploaded to Express Control, you’ll see Express Touch changing skin in response to tag changes.
The relationship between tags and skins is unique to each Express Touch in your project. If you have multiple Express Touch devices, it’s possible to configure each on to respond differently to tag changes.
