Heathrow Airport – Terminal 3
Heathrow Terminal 3 underwent a major redevelopment to enable a further 17,000 passengers to depart through the building each day.
An essential part of the revamp was to create a suitable ambience and experience for passengers as they pass through the various stages of departure, and a crucial aspect of this was lighting the spaces.
- Lighting designers Studio Fractal created the entire scheme alongside Architainment Lighting
- Architainment supplied Color Kinetic’s Custom Flex MX which were installed behind the Barrisol stretch ceiling above check-in, controlled by an LPC
- Air-side spaces and the international departures lounge have cove, ceiling lights and high-resolution panels behind glass walls using CK Custom Flex MX creating dynamic moving looks and images, all controlled by a Pharos VLC
