Helios Experience, Port of Rotterdam
Fully automated immersive dark ride at Portlantis, the Port of Rotterdam’s visitor centre, with a dual-LPC Pharos system controlling every element of the experience.
- Two LPCs operate in a complementary configuration: one manages logistics including automatic sliding doors and visitor flow, the other handles show control for lighting, sound and video
- Four RIO 44s monitor and control the automated sliding doors and 4D cinema installation, providing flexible I/O expansion across the attraction
- Three 8″ TPS 8 touchscreens provide operator interfaces for seamless control of the complete show system
- The entire experience from the pre-show, main 4D experience and audience exit runs fully automatically and precisely timed, without on-site guides or operators; all technical components are centrally managed via the show control LPC
- The dual-LPC architecture had been proven in a similar installation by SemMika at the Rexperience exhibit at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center before being specified here
