The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, better known as ARTIC, provides rail, bus, taxi and other services for commuters in the Orange County area of California, USA.
The entrance to the building is a 120-foot-tall glass wall, with views of nearby Honda Center, Angel Stadium and the Santa Ana River. During the day, the transportation hub is lit by sunlight diffused through translucent air-filled plastic (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene/ETFE) pillows which line the arched roof.

HLB was responsible for lighting design in collaboration with architect HOK and project design managers Parsons Brinckerhoff. Insight Lighting supplied more than a thousand energy-efficient, colour-changing LED lights which are mounted inside the roof of the structure to illuminate the ETFE pillows at night.
The lights are controlled by a Pharos LPC 2 with PoE, designed to display a wide variety of colourful designs and animations that commemorate special events and holidays, as well as signalling the local community when home teams are playing in the nearby stadium and arena.
