Akershus Fortress, Oslo
Exterior lighting modernisation for Oslo’s 13th-century fortress, with a fully wireless control architecture designed to protect the historic fabric of one of Norway’s most visited landmarks.
- Two Pharos LPC controllers provide redundancy and distributed processing for all architectural scenes, dynamic timelines, triggers and logic sequences across 232 luminaires at more than 50 positions
- Multiple Pharos RIO D4 devices deliver distributed DALI control, enabling precise local control at each location around the site
- All five DALI subnets operate fully wirelessly via LumenRadio W-DALI, eliminating conventional cabling through the heritage structures
- Pharos Cloud provides secure remote access for monitoring, management and troubleshooting without the need for on-site intervention
- Custom local interfaces allow staff in the castle and on-site restaurant to select and adjust scenes for day-to-day use and national celebrations
