Niagara Falls Lighting Centenary
Pharos has powered the nightly illuminations of Niagara Falls since 2020 — and for the centenary celebrations in September 2025, a loaned LPC X was added to the network to deliver the landmark’s first ever son et lumière, synchronising lighting, audio and laser projections across both the Canadian and American sides.
- The Falls have been illuminated every night since 2020 using an LPC 4; the existing project file was adapted to run on the loaned LPC X with no core reprogramming required
- Designer’s Music Timelines placed audio files and lighting presets by bars and beats for frame-accurate synchronisation of the son et lumière presentation
- The LPC X controlled four independent laser projectors with projections mapped onto the rock-face of Goat Island between the two Falls
- A PA system spanning 2,000 feet along the Niagara Parkway distributed audio over the Pathway network; the full show was monitored remotely via the SixEye Cloud solution
- Three 30-minute displays per night opened with both national anthems and the colours of Canada and the USA, followed by a 20-minute music medley with synchronised lighting and laser
