Penshaw Monument, Sunderland

Built in 1844, the monument is a memorial in the style of an ancient Greek temple, built in memory of John George Lambton, the first Earl of Durham.

The National Trust property on Penshaw Hill provides stunning views from the outskirts of Sunderland where it prominently stands at 30 metres long, and 20 metres high.

  • The old failed and damaged metal halide floodlights were ready for a renewal, LITE Ltd was brought on board to help with this refurbishment
  • CK ColourReach Compact luminaires were chosen, with DMX Wireless transmitters and receivers. A local blacksmith manufactured special housings for the fixtures
